About my website

I’m not sure why I decided to put up a public personal blog. I’ve been blogging for years and owned at least three domains in the past, but I never had the time or patience to maintain it. But mostly it’s because I’ve learned to become a very private person- I’m not entirely comfortable about telling the whole world how my day went and who I ate lunch with. I am especially careful with my pictures because a lot of them are quite incriminating, so I keep them in a private account, seen by only the people I know. Horror stories about exploitation and fake accounts in inappropriate websites (that’s putting it lightly) prompted me to be more cautious. Ah, the internet really spawned a new breed of psychos.
But still, all that hasn’t stopped me from being self-absorbed. Like most of you, I like to talk, especially about the topic I know most about - myself. Do not expect anything overtly personal, though. This wee space on the internet is but a virtual trash bin for my constant word vomit. An outlet, if you will, for my opinions about anything and everything.
Credits and Resources
I really enjoy sprucing up my blog, but I do not have the time (and patience. Yeah I’m not a very patient person) to code everything from scratch. That’s why I must credit Kapikua’s Theme Leia for the original coding of the current theme. The photos used in this layout are fromstock.xchange, a free stock photography website. They were edited by me using Adobe Photoshop CS2. I used fonts from dafont and a couple of brushes from angelic-trust.
Wordpress is the best blogging software in the world. Yeah. Here’s a list of the plugins I used in my blog:
- Twitter Tools by Alex King
- WP-Contact Form by Kristin K. Wangen
- SRG Clean Archives by Shawn Grimes
- RunPHP by James Van Lommel
- Simple Tags by Droobles
- Google Sitemap Generator for WordPress v2 Final by Arne Brachhold.
And of course, this site is generously hosted by Shari at Misteryosa.com.
The content, however, is all by me, unless I say otherwise.
