for more productivity

I hope you don’t mind, I’d like to start this entry with a little rant.
I hate it when people twist my words. And what I hate even more than that is having to explain myself. What the hell.
Whatever. I’ll just write about something else.
We had our first Psychedelics meeting yesterday afternoon. Psychedelics is the corps group of the Psychology Department responsible for all the student activities and happenings in the department. I was told that it’s official name is the Psychology Department Coordinating Council, but I’m not sure if that’s true. It’s sounds swankier though, ha ha.
Anyway, I’m one of the junior year representatives along with my blockmate, Racine. Tiff’s part of it too as the sophomore year representative. Around half the members couldn’t attend the meeting, so we just discussed what plans we had in mind for the upcoming events we were to organize (a Psych Department acquaintance party!) as well as future plans (like reviving the PHAn’s Club) . The rest of the time, we talked about … certain people we know. Ha ha! We’re also planning to have an overnight planning seminar at a nearby hotel when summer classes ends. Whee!
Awesome. I believe the last time I held a position like this was when I was class secretary back in second grade (it was a job I took very seriously!). This is all part of my before-college-ends plan to immerse myself in various extra-curricular what have yous. If you’ve never been to a Psych event, let me tell you - no one has fun the way Psych majors do. And those are the kinds of responsibilities I wouldn’t mind working my ass off for, because a leader is just as good as the people they serve. Besides, being busy leaves you less idle time and alone time with your thoughts- there’s just something unproductive and depressing about going home right after school. So hooray for an impending busy year ahead.

yeah this year i immersed myself in extra-curriculars as well. some of them turned out well… some of them not so well! at least you know that you’ll enjoy your activities!
